Der Bau
Mit dem Subjekt ändert sich nichts:
I will be waiting. She will be waiting. They will be waiting.
Die Kurzform ist ’ll be: I’ll be, you’ll be, we’ll be.
Der zukünftige Zeitpunkt steht vorn oder hinten
Weil die Zeitform gegen einen Punkt misst, wird dieser Punkt fast immer genannt:
- This time next week we’ll be lying on a beach.
- She’ll be finishing her shift at ten.
- I’ll be working when you get here.
Beachte den letzten: nach when steht im Englischen das Präsens, genau wie beim Future Simple.
Zwei Dinge gleichzeitig
Eine zukünftige Handlung kann laufen, während eine andere passiert:
While you’re checking in, I’ll be parking the car.
Beruhigung
Ein häufiger Gebrauch sagt jemandem, dass eine Lage schon geregelt sein wird, wenn er ankommt:
Don’t worry about the key — I’ll be waiting outside.
Wo es für Deutschsprachige schiefgeht
«Morgen um diese Zeit liegen wir am Strand» braucht drei englische Teile. → This time tomorrow we’ll be lying on a beach. Deutsch macht es mit dem Präsens und der Zeitangabe.
be bleibt be. will be working, nie will being working. Und das Hauptverb braucht -ing: will be work ist unvollständig.
«Während du eincheckst, parke ich das Auto» passt im Bau. → While you’re checking in, I’ll be parking the car. Beachte: im while-Satz steht das Präsens (you’re checking), im Hauptsatz die Zukunft.
Der Beruhigungssatz ist nützlich. «Mach dir keine Sorgen wegen des Schlüssels — ich warte draußen» → I’ll be waiting outside. Mit I’ll wait klänge es wie ein Versprechen, das du gerade gibst; mit I’ll be waiting wie eine Tatsache, auf die man sich verlassen kann.
