Put the box down here. They’re waiting outside.
She went abroad.
here y there
Here comes the bus. There goes the last train.
Esa inversión solo pasa con here y there y solo cuando el sujeto es un sustantivo: Here it comes, no Here comes it.
somewhere, anywhere, nowhere
El mismo reparto que con some y any:
- somewhere en afirmativas: It must be somewhere in this room.
- anywhere en negativas y preguntas: I can’t find it anywhere.
- nowhere lleva su propia negación: It was nowhere to be found.
No se dobla la negación: I didn’t see it nowhere no es estándar.
We met at the station yesterday.
Adverbios y preposiciones
She went inside. — adverbio. She went inside the house.
