La estructura

Not se coloca entre will y have, y se contrae en won’t have:

They will not have arrived. → They won’t have arrived.

Avisar de que un plazo no se va a cumplir

Para esto sirve el negativo:

• The report won’t have been finished by Monday.
• The guests won’t have eaten, so keep something back.

Not yet, not until

Las dos encajan y afinan el momento:

• She won’t have heard yet.
• The results won’t have been published until Friday.

La suposición negativa

Con by now, el negativo da por hecho que algo no ha pasado:

Don’t wait — they won’t have left yet.

Otra vez, nada de esto es futuro: es una lectura del presente.

Dónde se tuerce para un hispanohablante

«No habrá terminado para el lunes» se traduce directamente, y la contracción won’t have es lo normal al hablar.

Y «todavía no se habrán enterado» es They won’t have heard yet, con yet al final: el «todavía» español va delante y el inglés detrás.
