La estructura
Not se mete entre el auxiliar y la tercera forma:
The gate is not locked. → The gate isn’t locked.
Para el plural existen las dos contracciones: aren’t y ’re not, como en they’re not kept.
Decir qué no pasa
La pasiva negativa en presente es el idioma de las excepciones en normas y avisos:
- Bags aren’t searched on the ground floor.
- Cash isn’t accepted at this counter.
- Late applications aren’t considered.
no longer, any more
Las dos encajan de forma natural y son frecuentes en este tiempo:
Paper records are no longer kept. The hall isn’t rented out any more.
Elegir el auxiliar correcto
Si la frase lleva una tercera forma, el negativo es isn’t o aren’t. Si el verbo está simple, el negativo es doesn’t o don’t:
- The office isn’t cleaned on Sundays. — pasiva
- The cleaner doesn’t come on Sundays. — activa
Dónde se tuerce para un hispanohablante
«No se acepta efectivo» y «el limpiador no viene los domingos» se niegan igual en español, con un «no» delante del verbo. En inglés se separan: la primera es pasiva (Cash isn’t accepted), la segunda es activa (The cleaner doesn’t come). La prueba es mirar si hay tercera forma detrás.
Y «ya no» se coloca distinto: are no longer kept lleva la expresión en medio, aren’t kept any more la lleva al final. Las dos son correctas; mezclarlas (aren’t no longer kept) es doble negación.

Errores que evitar
Incorrecto: The files don't kept any more. correcto: The files aren't kept any more.
El auxiliar de la pasiva es be, así que el negativo es aren't.
Incorrecto: The meeting isn't record. correcto: The meeting isn't recorded.
El verbo principal tiene que ir en su tercera forma.
