La estructura
El negativo necesita did más not, casi siempre acortado en didn’t, y después el verbo simple:
I didn’t understand. — She didn’t understand. — They didn’t understand.
She went home. — el pasado está en el verbo. She didn’t go home.
- be: He wasn’t at home. No he didn’t be at home.
- los modales: She couldn’t come. No she didn’t could come.
I didn’t get much sleep es más natural que I got little sleep.

Incorrecto: They didn't came. correcto: They didn't come.
Incorrecto: He not called me. correcto: He didn't call me.
Not no puede pegarse a un verbo normal. Necesita did delante.
Incorrecto: She wasn't go to the party. correcto: She didn't go to the party.
Was y were solo funcionan con be, no con verbos normales.
