- You have finished. → Have you finished?
- She has paid. → Has she paid?
Nunca se añade do ni did. El auxiliar ya está ahí.
Las respuestas cortas mantienen el auxiliar
El inglés contesta estas preguntas con el auxiliar, no con el verbo principal: Yes, I have. / No, she hasn’t. Responder Yes, I have seen no es incorrecto, solo raro: lo que se dice es la forma corta.
ever y yet
Have you ever driven abroad?
Has the post arrived yet?
Hacen trabajos distintos.
Dejar You have finished? se entiende, pero suena a incredulidad, no a pregunta.
Y «¿alguna vez has estado en Japón?» pide been to Japan, no been in: el español usa «en» para las dos cosas y de ahí sale el error.
Todas las formas
| Sujeto | Pregunta | Respuesta corta, sí | Respuesta corta, no |
|---|---|---|---|
| I, you, we, they | Have they finished? | Yes, they have. | No, they haven't. |
| he, she, it | Has she finished? | Yes, she has. | No, she hasn't. |

Errores que evitar
Incorrecto: Did you have seen it? correcto: Have you seen it?
El present perfect hace sus propias preguntas. Did pertenece al past simple.
Incorrecto: Have you ever been in Japan? correcto: Have you ever been to Japan?
Been to significa haber visitado. Been in señala dónde estaba alguien en ese momento.
