Everybody is waiting. Nothing works. Somebody has left a bag.
Somebody called — they didn’t leave a name. Everyone should bring their own lunch.
some- o any-
El mismo reparto que con los sustantivos:
- some- en afirmativas: There is somebody at the door.
- any- en negativas y preguntas: There isn’t anybody. Is there anybody there?
En ofrecimientos y peticiones vuelve some-: Would you like something to drink?
no- y not any
Dicen lo mismo con gramática distinta:
There is nothing left. = There isn’t anything left.
Usa una o la otra. There isn’t nothing no es inglés estándar.
something useful, nothing new, somebody important

Incorrecto: Everybody are here. correcto: Everybody is here.
Incorrecto: I didn't see nobody. correcto: I didn't see anybody.
El inglés no usa dos negaciones. Con verbo negativo, any-.
Incorrecto: Somebody forgot his or her coat. correcto: Somebody forgot their coat.
They y their son la manera normal de remitir cuando no se sabe quién es.
