Dónde va la forma de objeto
Dos sitios, y los dos son mecánicos:
- detrás del verbo: I saw her yesterday.
- detrás de una preposición: Give it to them. This is for us. Between you and me.
between you and me
Lo mismo con for, with, to, from, after, without:
without him, after us, with her
- She invited John and me. → She invited me. ✓
- John and I were invited. → I was invited. ✓
Funciona siempre y no hace falta saber gramática.
Dos objetos
Muchos verbos llevan dos. El orden cambia según uses to:
She gave me the book. / She gave the book to me.
Con dos pronombres, lo natural es el segundo patrón: She gave it to me, no She gave me it.
Detrás de than y as
En lengua formal, than I y as I; en el habla corriente, than me y as me:
He is taller than I am. — lo más seguro He is taller than me. — habla normal
Dónde se tuerce para un hispanohablante
«Entre tú y yo». El español pone pronombre sujeto detrás de «entre», y de ahí sale between you and I. En inglés es between you and me, siempre.
El inglés los pone detrás y en otro orden: He gave it to me.
