Votre première question arrive.
L’ordre habituel
Six places, et dès qu’on sait les compter le temps cesse de faire peur : mot interrogatif — will — sujet — have — been — forme en -ing.
How long will she have been living abroad?
By the time the project ends, how long will the team have been working on it?
La réponse prend for : For about three years.
Quand who est le sujet
Rien ne s’inverse :
- Who will have been driving?
- What will have been causing the delay?
Comparez les trois how long
- How long had you been waiting? — une échéance passée.
- How long have you been waiting? — jusqu’à maintenant.
- How long will you have been waiting?
| How long had you been waiting? |
| How long have you been waiting? |
| How long will you have been waiting? |
Et la réponse prend for. « Environ trois ans » → For about three years.
» — produit How long you will have been waiting?.
» → How long will you have known her? — et non have been knowing.
» → Who will have been driving?
- « Qu’est-ce qui aura causé le retard ? » → What will have been causing the delay?
By the time the project ends…

Incorrect : How long you will have been waiting? correct : How long will you have been waiting?
Will se place avant le sujet.
Incorrect : How long will you have been knowing her? correct : How long will you have known her?
