Why mix them

Practising one form at a time teaches you the form. Practising them mixed teaches you to choose — and choosing is the part that fails in real conversation, where nothing announces which tense is coming.

Each question here says which form it came from, so a run of misses points you straight at the topic worth going back to.

What's in the mix

Questions are drawn evenly from every form, so a short run can throw anything at you. These are the groups they come from:

Find your level → Mixed practice tells you what you miss. The level test tells you where you stand — A1 to C1, in about four minutes.

Or take one form at a time

Mixed practice shows you where the gaps are. The topic pages are where you close them — 86 forms, each with its own pattern, examples and mistakes to avoid.
