O padrão
Não há auxiliar nem concordância. O verbo carrega tudo:
I worked. You worked. He worked. We worked. They worked.
Estes aparecem em quase todo texto: be, have, do, go, say, get, make, know, think, take, see, come, want, give, find, tell, become, leave, feel, put, bring, begin, keep, hold, write, stand, hear, let, mean, meet, run, pay, sit, speak, lie, lead, read, grow, lose, fall, send, build, understand, draw, break, spend, cut, rise, drive, buy, wear, choose, sell, eat, drink, sleep, win, forget.
O momento geralmente é dito
Como o tempo verbal aponta para um instante encerrado, a frase normalmente diz quando: last night, in 1998, two hours ago, on Monday, when I was ten, after the concert. Se nenhum momento é dado e o resultado ainda importa agora, o Present Perfect é a melhor escolha.
