Sua primeira pergunta está vindo.
As três ideias
in the box, on the box e at the box são todos possíveis e querem dizer coisas diferentes.
- I’ll meet you at the cinema. — o ponto de encontro
- I saw it in the cinema. — dentro do prédio
- There’s a poster on the cinema. — na parede dele
Cidades, prédios, endereços
- in uma cidade, país, região: in Porto, in Brazil, in the north
- at um prédio quando você quer dizer a sua função: at school, at work, at the station
- in um prédio quando você quer dizer dentro dele: in the school, in the office
- at um endereço completo, in uma rua: at 14 King Street, in King Street
Transporte
in um carro ou táxi, mas on um ônibus, trem, avião, navio ou bicicleta:
She got in the car and I got on the bus.
at home, at work, at school, in bed, in hospital, on holiday, in the middle, at the top, on the left
Note at home: o português diz «em casa», e a tentação de escrever in home é forte.
