|---|---|
| Chove. | It is raining. |
| São seis horas. | It is six o’clock. |
| Há um problema. | There is a problem. |
| Sou professora. | I am a teacher. |
it para coisas, animais, o tempo, a hora e a distância
It cobre um alcance largo:
- Where’s my phone? It’s on the table.
- It is cold today.
- It is half past nine.
- It is two kilometers to the station.
Someone phoned. They didn’t leave a name. If a student is late, they should sign in.
My colleague and I wrote it. — e não me and my colleague.
Para checar, tire a outra pessoa: I wrote it funciona; me wrote it não.
My brother lives here. — e não My brother he lives here.
Todas as formas
| Pronome | Está no lugar de | Exemplo |

| you | quem ouve, um ou vários | You know. |
| he | um homem | He knows. |
| she | uma mulher | She knows. |
| it | uma coisa, animal, o tempo, a hora | It knows. It is raining. |
| we | quem fala e outros | We know. |
| they | mais de um, ou uma pessoa de gênero não declarado | They know. |

Errado: Me and my brother work here. certo: My brother and I work here.
Errado: Is raining. certo: It is raining.
Errado: My parents, they live in São Paulo. certo: My parents live in São Paulo.
