Место
В конце, после глагола и любого дополнения:
Put the box down here. They’re waiting outside.
При глаголе движения наречие идёт сразу следом: He ran upstairs. She went abroad.
here и there
Here — там, где говорящий; there — где угодно ещё. Оба могут открыть предложение с перестановкой глагола, и эту схему стоит узнавать:
Here comes the bus. There goes the last train.
Такая перестановка бывает только с here и there и только когда подлежащее — существительное: Here it comes, а не Here comes it.
somewhere, anywhere, nowhere
Деление то же, что у some и any:
- somewhere в утверждениях: It must be somewhere in this room.
- anywhere в отрицаниях и вопросах: I can’t find it anywhere.
- nowhere несёт отрицание само: It was nowhere to be found.
Не удваивайте отрицание: I didn’t see it nowhere за норму не считается.
Место перед временем
Когда оба идут в конец, первым встаёт место:
We met at the station yesterday.
Наречия и предлоги
Часть слов делает обе работы. Без существительного после них это наречия, с существительным — предлоги:
She went inside. — наречие. She went inside the house. — предлог.

Ошибки, которых стоит избегать
Неверно: I looked nowhere for my keys and found them. верно: I looked everywhere for my keys and found them.
Nowhere значит «нигде вовсе», что противоречит находке.
Неверно: I didn't see it nowhere. верно: I didn't see it anywhere.
При отрицательном глаголе берут anywhere.
Неверно: She lives abroad in the next street. верно: She lives nearby, in the next street.
Abroad значит «за границей».
