Going to: отрицательные предложения

Not идёт после be, перед going to.

Схема

Not вставляется сразу после am, is или are:

He is not going to agree. → He isn’t going to agree.

Для is и are доступны оба сокращения: he isn’t going to или he*’s not** going to*. Для am есть только I*’m not***.

Отмена плана

Отрицание чаще всего объявляет, что задуманное отменяется:

We aren’t going to move after all.

After all, any more и in the end — обычные спутники.

Отказ

С I отрицание часто значит решение не делать, и звучит твёрдо:

I*’m not going to** argue about this.*

Предсказать, что нечто не случится

При видимых приметах отрицание работает так же, как утверждение:

There’s no queue. We*’re not going to** be late.*
